Our strength is TTE or through-the-earth covert wireless communication with the transmission of data through man-made and natural barriers. This is where existing modes of communication are not able to communicate. The data is secure with voice, text or raw data, enabling communication into and out of, radio and GPS denied areas.
It started in the mining sector and has converged to other sectors. This includes public safety, infrastructure and military.
What We Do

Our technology can be used in day-to-day communications where other direct communication platforms are not available or as a critical backup in emergency situations where traditional communication systems have failed.

Why is this technology solution critical now and in the future?
It is our past…
- 25 years ago, was the first “terrorist attack” on the World Trade Center. This tragic event killed 6 people, injuring over a thousand, as well, 88 first responders and EMS workers.
- The Trade Center did not have a fire warning system installed. It took over 4 hours to evacuate the towers.
- It was realized at that time TTE could send a signal through a building for evacuation.
- 9/11 morally compelled us to address communication failures in urban settings.
- Negotiated a global “exclusive license” with a tax payer funded USA National Laboratory. The exclusive patented rights are for Urban / Rural, Mining, Water and Space.
This has progressed in the development of real time 2-way voice and data capable TTE products. Allows vertical integration of existing terrestrial communication platforms and extending the reach to subterranean / GPS denied environments. Also, offers failsafe redundancy as a “standalone” back up communication platform in the event of communication failure.
VALIDATION / FUTURE
Infrastructure free… future urban and autonomous applications are being advanced.
The technology was proven in the mining sector and applied to new products for the public safety, infrastructure and military sectors, in recent years. TTE has validated the technology for urban, police, fire and military.
Many successful product demonstrations over the years have been performed around the world, in some of the harshest subterranean environments and underground facilities used by or known to humans.
The products enable the transmission of data through to and from radio and GPS denied areas – with secure, voice, text or raw data.
The products are interoperable and can be infrastructure free or standalone!
The technology has been validated in mining; geological, urban and other line of sight denied environments.
The proven products offer infrastructure free interoperability with WIFI, Bluetooth, UHF/VHF Radios, mesh networks, hand held mobile devices, microwave, autonomous vehicles and satellite.
The technology extends the reach of current and traditional communication to environments that were previously inoperable. Adopting our solution using existing infrastructure, the investment already made in the current communications equipment is greatly enhanced, adding a foundation for a failsafe backup and increased public safety.
The technology can communicate with hand held devices via WIFI/Bluetooth now. If a miniature antenna was added to all mobile devices and some communication platforms, the TTE products could communicate directly with mobile devices in a catastrophic event, communication failure or emergency. The products would be able to send warning notifications directly to the public from the first response center or team.
Offering alerts for a localized or wide area one-way emergency broadcast notifications, to provide vital information, pre and post event.
TTE provides a safer, secure, reliable, robust, and covert signal.
This is not radio and does not require line of sight!

Autonomous SMART City Infrastructure
Current research to evaluate position measurement using TTE beacons is advancing.
The need for robust position measurement at road intersections is a critical component to the safety application of vehicles. With in-depth expertise in TTE technology, the use of technologies for position location at intersections in GPS denied urban environments is paramount. In doing so, the application could reduce traffic accidents, especially in relation to bicycle and pedestrian collisions at intersections in urban spaces.
TTE Positioning is technology to enable data transmission to enhance location services for autonomous products / vehicles in GPS denied environments.
Infrastructure for Autonomous GPS denied environments for proximity and obstacle avoidance is a major catalyst and leap for the evolution of all smart cities in the future. The smart city requires a reliable communication platform with covert data transfer for day to day use for autonomous communication to address shadowing for lost GPS for parking, in building, tunnels, vehicles, drones and robots. The platform will offer security and safety for future autonomous advancements.
Applications and Future Solutions / SMART City
The applications for TTE includes, sensors, sewers, aqueducts, utilities, subways, airports, hospitals, stadiums, tunnels, buildings, water/underwater wireless monitoring, first responders, EMS, autonomous vehicles, drones and infrastructure, all connected.
TTE offers day-to-day operations, including a redundant infrastructure free communication network that will continue to report or operate critical infrastructure post event. Including communication for first responders and emergency broadcasts for public safety.
Future sectors include applications in agriculture, mining oil and gas exploration, space, marine underwater communication, in body medical devices, to name a few.

Recent world events have accelerated the need for TTE technology infrastructure. Real world disasters involved a catastrophic failure of existing terrestrial communications infrastructure. Examples like earthquakes, mudslides, wildfires, tornados, World Trade Center, London Subway bombing, Virginia Tech, Hurricane Katrina, Deep Water Horizon, oil pipeline ruptures / spills and mine disasters further reinforce the need.
It has been paramount for wireless Through-The-Earth product development to be a reliable, interoperable, failsafe pre and post communication solution – with or without communication infrastructure.
Our technology has been tested, developed, and validated for survivability in the harshest subterranean environments known to humans.

Through-the-Earth technology is the “missing link” to complete the full circle of communication by providing interoperability with current communication infrastructure.
